About
I’m Abhilash Kolanthara, AB for short. I’ve been an engineer for more than 20 years now. In my day job I manage and lead multiple engineering teams; otherwise I like cricket (especially Test cricket), retro games, and coffee.
This is where I think out loud and publish my sometimes half-baked drafts. A wise man once told me that writing is a form of thinking, and that you only grow by embarrassing yourself in public, so this is me doing exactly that, one post at a time.
Lately I’ve been deep into retro gaming (both software emulation and FPGA hardware) and standing up my homelab.
Two pages I keep (mostly) current: what I’m reading and the tools I use day to day.
Why “semikolan”? #
It’s a pun on my surname, not a reference to Project Semicolon(opens in a new tab) , the mental health and suicide prevention movement, though it’s a cause worth knowing about. If that’s what you were looking for, that link will take you there.
